Seats
The majority of triple buggies are initially single pushchairs, but some can be converted to take a second seat or carrycot with adapters (these are more commonly found in tandem buggies). It can accommodate twins starting at birth and can accommodate two car seats, or a carrycot with a seat. The seats must face towards the front and there is no space for a shopping bag under the seat. Suspension
The quality of the suspension on a 3-wheel double buggy is crucial to how it will be easy for you and your baby/s to push. A smooth ride is vital as babies can feel every bump in the road, particularly if it's on rough terrain like grass or dirt roads. Some models have front tires that lock to assist in maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.
Certain models come with air-filled tyres that are ideal for all-terrain riding, but they are prone to punctures. Make sure you have an extra set of tyres in your trunk. Others have foam or gel tyres that are designed to take the bumps and are less prone to punctures however, you may find them to be a bit stiff and uncomfortable for your child's back if you decide to jog.

MFM reviewer Kath tested the Urban Glide 2 through its tests with her newborn and 3 year old son, and found it coped really well on difficult terrain: "it navigated effortlessly over pavements that were bumpy and grassy cobbles, dirt tracks and cobbles easily and was able to manoeuvre around corners and go up and down kerbs. Folding
A three-wheeled double buggy can be folded easily to be stored. There are options that fold flat and then stand up (as when they were in a pushchair) and also those that pop up to reveal a more umbrella-style fold, with an electric brake. The more wheels a buggy is equipped with, in general the more easy it will be to maneuver on rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are bigger than the typical size. You will have more stability, and it is less likely that you will need to tip over or flip your child.
